Biodiesel Consulting Group Expands Into Plant Safety Training
January 26, 2009
Little Rock, AR - Lee Enterprises, a recognized biodiesel consulting group, is pleased to announce the addition of safety consultant, Mark White, to its consulting team.
"Mark has been in the safety training field with a major U.S. corporation for almost twenty years" says Wayne Lee, owner of Lee Enterprises. "He is also a certified forklift training expert, so adding him to our team gives us the ability to add plant safety training and certifications to the biodiesel services we already offer", says Lee.
In its new plant safety training courses, Lee Enterprises now offers methanol and catalyst handling and storage, blood borne pathogens, fall protection, emergency action planning, hand and electrical safety, lockout-tag out procedure, heat stress, hearing conservation, and safe lifting practices. Forklift certification is also available. At the conclusion of training, employees and the plant receive course completion certifications and the plant management is given a safety analysis.
"We would suspect that plants who train in safety matters have fewer accidents" said Lee, but "our goal goes further than that - it is that the knowledge gained from these trainings will help save lives should an accident ever occur." Lee further noted that plants that spend the time and money to train in safety matters are better equipped to deal with OSHA or other liability issues if an accident ultimately does occur. "I think any plant manager that calls the company lawyer on insurance agent will find that safety training is highly recommended" said Lee. About Lee Enterprises.
