Rhode Island passes statewide Bioheat requirementBioheat is gaining traction in the Northeast. Starting July 1, 2014, every gallon of oil heat in the state of Rhode Island will contain at least 2 percent biodiesel. The legislation gradually increases the blend from 2 percent to 5 percent by 2017.
