2011 FEW to feature biodiesel panel

I wanted to take this opportunity to inform FAME Forum readers about a biodiesel panel I will be moderating June 29 at the 2011 Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo in Indianapolis. Specifically, the panel is about corn oil extracted from the backend of the ethanol process, and its growing application as a biodiesel feedstock.
The featured speakers include Dave Elsenbast, from Renewable Energy Group, who will give a presentation titled “Capturing Value through Inedible Corn Oil’s Growing Role in Meeting Biodiesel Demand.”
Also on the panel is Jake Ferris from my alma mater, Michigan State University, to discuss corn oil’s potential as biodiesel feedstock.
Ernie DeMartino from Biodiesel Experts International will present on enzymatic conversion of corn oil to biodiesel.
Finally, Kevin Kreisler of GreenShift Corp. will give his unique perspective on the markets and opportunities.
If you sign up and register for the show, I’ll be in Indianapolis Monday evening for the welcoming reception so I’ll look forward to meeting you there.

2Ron; Great panel, sorry I won't be there for this conference, hope to see you in Houston. Are you going to write a feature on the presenters? I am looking forward to seeing it, they all have very interesting perspectives.

3Will this panel be recorded and posted for playback anywhere? I would really like to hear the commentary.

4Hello Roman, thanks for the question! I guess what I write depends on how well the presentations go and if I catch some interesting statistics or other information. I am sure I will be writing something on it though. The corn oil to biodiesel market has been hot for a while, as you know, Roman, so I'll be sure to relay any information I gather from the event to the biodiesel industry. I'll look forward to the International Biorefining Conference & Trade Show in your town of Houston this fall though.
