When the going got tough the biodiesel industry stepped up to the challenges. The National Biodiesel Board has made progress combating many of the industry inaccuracies that arose in the past year, and will continue to fight the battles that will help advance renewable, sustainable fuel to the market.

To that end, the organization has added public relations representation in Washington, D.C. In order to step up the focus on communications that directly affect federal legislative issues, the NBB is pleased to announce that Michael C. Frohlich has been named the NBB・s Washington, D.C., director of communications. The position expands the NBB・s Washington, D.C., office. It also expands the NBB・s existing communications efforts, which are based in Jefferson City, Mo., with Director of Communications Jenna Higgins-Rose and Communications Specialist Amber Pearson.

Frohlich has six years of communications experience in Washington, D.C. He served as communications director and chief spokesman for U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer of Texas. In Neugebauer・s office, Frohlich worked with local and national media on energy and agriculture issues.

:Michael has diverse experience and knowledge in the communications field,; said Manning Feraci, NBB vice president of federal affairs. :I have no doubt he will be a valuable asset to the NBB and its members.;
