Global Alternative Fuels LLC recently announced a $20 million loan agreement with North American Development Bank to fund a two-phase biodiesel project in El Paso, Texas. The 5 MMgy biodiesel plant currently being built will be expanded to 25 MMgy in a second phase of construction. The goal of the project is to reduce emissions produced from cross-border traffic in the El Paso, Las Cruces and Ciudad Juarez region by producing and utilizing biodiesel.
