The DOE on July 22 announced it has selected 278 projects to move forward with award negotiations under the Genesis Mission request for applications released in March. Several bioenergy-related projects are among those selected by the agency.
SAF Magazine announced that six companies have selected to pitch to a group of investors at Pitch Day at the 2026 North American SAF Conference & Expo, taking place Aug. 25-27, 2026 in Tacoma, Washington.
Air Canada and Airbus have announced their intent to establish a jointly funded Sustainability Co-Investment Platform, which will provide CAD 13.7 million (US$10 million) to support a commercial-scale SAF industry in Canada.
Canada’s bilateral development finance institution, FinDev Canada, announces a $58 million loan to Brazil-based Acelen Renewables. The financing will support the construction and operation of a biorefinery to produce SAF and renewable diesel.
Moeve and Exolum have secured financing to support the development of Muelle Sur, a strategic logistics and maritime transport hub located at the Port of Huelva. The facility will handle feedstocks and products for Moeve’s new biorefinery.
