Praj Industries boosts U.S. efforts through acquisition
Praj Industries, an Indian-based ethanol plant process technology provider made a move into the U.S. biodiesel market with the September 2006 acquisition of Omaha, Neb.-based C.J. Schneider Engineering Co. Inc., currently the design/builder of Beatrice Biodiesel LLC in Beatrice, Neb., has provided detailed services for the biofuels industries for many years, and will provide Praj with expertise and additional customers in the U.S. biodiesel industry, according to Praj. The transaction was approximately $28 million.
