The North Carolina biodiesel industry has received a welcome boost from a variety of groups and stakeholders, which have formed the North Carolina Biodiesel Association in order to advance the business interests of the state’s emerging industry. The nonprofit organization consists of industry leaders, community-college representatives and workforce development experts. Board member Leif Forer said he is hoping the association receives strong support as the industry moves forward. “Now that we are established, we are inviting producers, suppliers and members of the public to join us in unleashing the power of biodiesel here in North Carolina,” he said.
